— Teaching opportunities in Thailand (and sometimes other countries in Asia)
Beware of several websites that are copying job ads ('stealing' is actually the correct word) from Ajarn dot com. We only post job ads that are sent DIRECTLY to us. An employer will sometimes ask us to make changes to a job description but those changes will NOT be made by the website copying the ad. Trust the info, trust Ajarn! View all the current teaching positions on the Ajarn jobs page.
— If I need a TOEIC score, is it better to do the test in Thailand or in my home country?
Answer - It doesn't really matter but as one South African Ajarn reader said, "take it here in Thailand because it's far cheaper and easier. You will only need it for your work permit application and you have the three months of your initial 3-month non-b visa to do it. The test is done twice a week in Bangkok, but sometimes takes place in Chiang Mai, Phuket and Hat Yai. Over the past two years, I haven't even needed my TOEIC because the Bangkok labor office didn't require it. However, that might change so good to have it just in case.
