Position: Combined Junior Golf Instructor and Classroom Teacher
Job Type: Full-Time (70% golf, 30% academics)

About Us:
Junior Asian Golf Academy (JAGA) combines an authorised Ontario (Canada) curriculum education in an international school context, with a professionally certified golf program. JAGA offers a pathway for junior golfers from around the world to further their academic ambitions by learning with qualified educators and developing their golf skills with the support of resident PGA coaches. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual who is not only an experienced golf instructor but also a qualified educator, to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to develop student’s golf skills and facilitate blended classroom learning sessions in a variety of subjects.
- Potential for Curriculum Coordinator title and responsibilities for the right applicant: Design curriculum, instruction and assessment in 5 main areas: Academics, character, physical and mental strength, fundamentals, and course play.
- Provide high-quality golf instruction to individuals and groups, catering to various skill levels.
- Facilitate blended learning classroom activities to extend and enhance the Northern Pre University learning platform content for Ontario core curriculum.
- Provide exceptional pastoral care to students in the program, integrating the roles of teacher, coach and mentor.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for learners, promoting teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
- Stay current with ongoing professional development in both golf instruction and educational practices.
Qualifications:
- PGA Certified Golf Professional, minimum ASQ Level 1 Award in Coaching (or ability and willingness to obtain this certification) with experience in teaching golf.
- Certified Teacher, with a valid teaching license and relevant educational qualifications (international teaching experience and/or Ontario teaching certification beneficial)
- Proven experience in golf instruction, including working with juniors.
- Curriculum coordination experience and/or training is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with students and parents.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to the development of students in both golf and academics.
