Job Description:Overview:
The Technology and Digital Media Coordinator will play a vital role in managing the school’s digital presence, overseeing small-scale design projects, supporting the development of interactive mini-programs, and teaching basic technology skills to students. This individual will bridge the gap between technology, creativity, and education, ensuring that both the school community and students benefit from modern tools and digital learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Management:
Regularly update and maintain the school website, ensuring all content is accurate, relevant, and visually appealing.
Collaborate with school departments to ensure timely posting of news, events, and announcements.
Monitor website performance and troubleshoot any issues, coordinating with external developers if needed.
Design and Digital Projects:
Create graphics, posters, newsletters, and promotional materials for school events and campaigns.
Lead or assist in small design projects, ensuring they align with the school's branding.
Support the production of digital content such as videos or social media assets.
Mini-Programs and Interactive Tools:
Develop or manage the creation of simple, user-friendly mini-programs or tools to support school functions (e.g., interactive learning aids, registration forms).
Test and ensure the usability and security of these tools.
Technology Education (5-6 periods per week):
Teach basic technology skills to students, including topics like:
Typing, internet safety, and online research.
Introduction to simple coding or programming tools (e.g., Scratch).
Basics of graphic design, robotics, or multimedia creation.
Organize workshops or activities to inspire technological creativity among students.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with the school leadership team to align digital strategies with the school's goals.
Provide technical support to staff for minor IT issues related to their projects or teaching tools.
Ensure all digital materials comply with data privacy and copyright standards.
Innovation and Growth:
Stay updated on emerging educational technologies and digital trends.
Propose and implement new ideas to enhance the school’s digital footprint and teaching practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Education, Design, or a related field.
Experience in website management and content creation.
Familiarity with design software (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator) and basic programming tools.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Passion for working with children and integrating technology into education.
This position is ideal for someone who is tech-savvy, creative, and enthusiastic about combining digital media with education to enhance both the school’s operations and students' learning experiences.
Additional income potential are available for teaching Extra Classes to students.
