About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Teacher of Science to join our teaching team. The successful candidate will teach secondary-level students (Grades 7-10), delivering engaging lessons in line with the US curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire curiosity and foster a deeper understanding of the sciences in learners.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic science lessons across various disciplines (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics) aligned with the US curriculum.
Encourage scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving among students.
Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to meet diverse learning needs.
Design and facilitate hands-on lab experiments to enhance practical understanding of scientific concepts.
Incorporate project-based learning into the curriculum to encourage exploration, innovation, and the practical application of scientific concepts.
Assess student’s progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
Teach Advanced Placement (AP) science courses to prepare students for college-level learning.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports collaboration and excellence.
Collaborate with colleagues to align instructional strategies and share best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Strong knowledge of scientific concepts across multiple disciplines (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics) and the ability to teach secondary-level science (Grades 7-10).
Experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP) science courses (e.g., AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics) is highly desirable.
A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent).
Minimum of one year of full-time teaching experience.
Native English speaker.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
