Let me tell you more about the position and our school:

We are Satit Ratchathani University Demonstration School—Satit RTU, a Cambridge school by Ratchathani university—private university, located in Ubon Ratchathani. There are two other universities in Ubon Ratchathani, which are Ubon Ratchathani University and Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University (both government schools). There is sometimes confusion in the names. We are located in town, on the ring road, exactly opposite to CentralPlaza Department Store. The cost of living is low here, housing readily available, and despite being a small town; we have a nice selection of restaurants, nightclubs, and shopping. Ubon Ratchathani is a six-hour drive or 50-minute flight from Bangkok. Our province is boarded by Laos and the Mekong River, Pha Taem National Park, and Sam Pan Bok.

Position: Early Years Main Teacher

Satit RTU seeks a fully qualified, and inspirational Early Years teacher and who is an energetic, highly inspired and motivated person. Someone who is passionate about childcare and education and is committed to achieving high standards and creating a stimulating, positive and child-centred classroom ethos. The position is for full-time only, commencing May 2025.

Requirements:
Candidates must be native English speakers; from the USA, Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.
Bachelor’s degree with PGCE
Recent experience working with Early Years

Contract type:
· Fixed term contract

Job description:

1) Being a main teacher to group of Early Years. Each class has not more than 25 students. There are 2 Non-Thai and Thai teachers who have degree and experience in Early Childhood Education. We have Cambridge Early Years Curriculum and worksheets that ready to be used. All teachers are required to attend the Pre-service Introduction Training. There is termly evaluation that will help all teachers to improve their works. Teachers are welcome to suggest new ideas of teaching methods, and work within the Early Years framework.

2) Being a teacher to After-school class or Weekend class. We offer some interesting activities such as Arts and Crafts, Music, Dance, Mandarin, and English class. Each class has not more than 15 students. Teachers will gain extra pay based on the number of classes they are assigned.

3) Being a leader to School excursion which will take place once a term. Parents will accompany their children. Also, Thai teachers can help them on the trip.

Teachers are responsible for the work outlined above, to the Manager of the English Department. Managerial reviews are conducted after each term.

Classrooms have air conditioning, sound systems, and white boards. Class sizes range from 8 to 25 students. The ability to maintain a positive presence within a large audience is required.

The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. Working hours are 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, 5 days per week. Holidays ('weekends') are two consecutive days per week, and are usually scheduled on Saturday and Sunday, but can negotiate or change with each term.

Salary is 45,000 baht per month. Non-B visa and work permit are provided, as well as holidays. Insurance is also available. Extra pay for ‘weekends’ class is available (500 THB per hour)

Our interviews are conducted here at the school, in which you are asked to present a short sample lesson including your outline and lesson plan. We would like to meet you personally; as well as have you review us, our school, and our town.
