Position Available: EY Principal at SBS Rangsit

Start date: End of May 2025, refer to school calendar.
Salary: depending on EY Principal salary scale (range 100K - 147K), qualifications and experience.
Minimum experience: 5 years
Minimum qualification: Bachelor's Degree + Education degree from a recognized university

Reports to the Chief Operating Officer / Head of School / Superintendent of Schools. Collaborates with the Academic leadership team to ensure the meeting of school wide goals.
Direct Subordinate(s): PA, EY Teacher, EY Teacher Assistant

Vision & Goals
• Promote SBS’s Mission and Values
• Align activities with SBS Strategic Plan
• Contribute to the SBS PYP Action plan
• Support staff and community learning regarding constructivism and inquiry based learning.

Administration (efficiency)
• Day to Day management of facilities, staff and cover insuring effective and efficient activities
• Management of staffing (hiring, firing, recruitment, retaining, appraisals- including consultation PYP Co.) and student applications
• Maintain current documentation across kindergarten
• Ensure that all Teachers have a professional growth plan and monitor
• ECA Coordination
• Orientation plan to SBS for new EY families and staff
• Prepare and monitor the EY Budget
• Attend PLC

Communication (community)
• Oversee implementation of all forms of communication in EY section both internal and external, insuring it is consistent and regular
• Receive and respond to parent concerns
• Review and make recommendations to revise EY Parent Handbook
• Report to Board as requested

Curriculum (quality)
• Curricular: Receive and review POI Planning Documents. Discuss and agree a plan with the PYP coordinator/assistant to implement the programme.
• Promote collaborative planning throughout the year groups reflecting SBS Mission and IB philosophy
• Monitor planning to assure that timelines are met, observe lessons and provide feedback
• Monitor and review assessments for consistency and accuracy, analysis for future planning
• Ensure MOE requirements are met

Retention
• Open forum meetings with parents twice a term where causes for concern can be raised and discussed.
• Look to “target” certain areas of the school where retention is most at risk – Year1 – Year2. Regular contact with all parents to discuss and progress and benefits of SBS education.
• Within the “target” areas highlight the leading parents within a given group and work with them on advancing the school message.

The school will consider applicants with completed documents that include a cover letter expressing the candidate’s background, experience, interests and philosophy of education. A brief introductory video. A resume with a recent photo, two references. Candidates with notarised degrees will be given preference.
