Job Overview:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ICT Teacher specializing in Coding & Robotics to lead and inspire students across all grade levels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lessons in ICT, coding, and robotics while integrating innovative technologies to enhance students' digital literacy and problem-solving skills. This role will play a key part in fostering an environment where students develop computational thinking, creativity, and a passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver an engaging curriculum in ICT, coding, and robotics for students from early years to secondary levels.
• Teach programming languages such as Scratch, Python, JavaScript, or others appropriate for different age groups.
• Introduce students to robotics platforms such as LEGO Mindstorms, VEX Robotics, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi.
• Encourage hands-on, project-based learning to develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Integrate ICT and digital skills into the wider curriculum, supporting other subject teachers in utilizing technology effectively.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in coding, robotics, and ICT education.
• Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics competitions, and hackathons.
• Assess, monitor, and report on students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Ensure the safe and responsible use of technology in the classroom.
• Collaborate with other educators to develop cross-curricular projects incorporating digital skills.
• Maintain and manage ICT equipment and software used in teaching.
• Communicate with parents and guardians about students' progress and achievements.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ICT Education, Engineering, or a related field (Teaching certification preferred).
• Experience in teaching ICT, coding, and robotics in a school setting.
• Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Scratch.
• Familiarity with educational robotics kits (e.g., LEGO Mindstorms, VEX, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of computational thinking and digital literacy concepts.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students with a passion for technology and innovation.
• Experience in developing and implementing a coding and robotics curriculum is a plus.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience in gamified learning and interactive teaching methods.
• Familiarity with online coding platforms such as Code.org, Tynker, or Khan Academy.
• Certification in Google for Education, Microsoft Educator, or similar ICT training.
• Ability to mentor students for coding and robotics competitions.
• A creative and innovative approach to integrating technology into education.
