About the RoleAre you passionate about digital fabrication, robotics, electronics, and hands-on STEM education? KMIDS is seeking a Fabrication Lab Teacher and/or Assistant to help guide the next generation of innovators and makers in our state-of-the-art Fab Lab. You will be working closely with middle and high school students, teaching them how to transform ideas into real-world prototypes using tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, Raspberry Pi, and more.

Key Responsibilities
· Teach or assist in delivering project-based learning modules from our Fab Lab & IoT curriculum, including:
o Digital fabrication (3D design, printing, laser cutting, CNC machining)
o Basic electronics and microcontroller programming (Arduino & Raspberry Pi)
o Physical computing and IoT development
o Robotics design and engineering (Walking robots, robotic arms, autonomous vehicles)
o Advanced CAD tools (Fusion 360, Rhino, Grasshopper)
· Maintain and manage Fab Lab equipment and inventory.
· Support students during lessons, mini-projects, and design challenges (including the year-end Hackathon).
· Ensure safety procedures are followed in the lab.
· Collaborate with the STEM team to continuously improve hands-on learning opportunities.
· Prepare detailed unit and lesson plans and upload curriculum to Rubicon Atlas.
· Maintain accurate student records including attendance and grading in RenWeb/FACTS.
· Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on project-based lessons aligned with the KMIDS Fab Lab & IoT curriculum, including the creation of unit plans, detailed lesson plans, long-term curriculum development, and budget planning
for tools, equipment, and materials related to digital fabrication, electronics, IoT, robotics, and advanced CAD/CAM technologies.

Qualifications
For Teacher Position:
· Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or related fields.
· Prior experience teaching or mentoring students in a makerspace or fabrication environment.
· Proficiency in digital design tools
· Experience with microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and basic electronics.
· Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Teaching license and/or degree in education preferred.
For Assistant Position:
· Technical certification preferred with experience working in a fab/maker lab.
· Hands-on experience with fabrication tools (3D printers, laser cutters, etc.).
· Willingness to support teachers and guide students in their design and build processes.
· Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills.
