In-person English Teacher

Now I Love English is a language school based at BTS Ratchathewi, near Siam in Bangkok.

*Currently, we are prioritising teachers who can work from 1 PM-9 PM on weekdays and weekend mornings.*

We primarily teach working adults in private and group classes. Our students want to improve their English skills to bolster their professional or academic prospects. As a result, they tend to be highly driven and committed. We’re looking for teachers who can match their drive and commitment.

Teaching: General, Business
Salary: Part-time, 500b+ per hour.
Each of your students will study a minimum of 30 hours with you.
Bonuses for student retention, courses completed, and time served.

Location: BTS Ratchathewi
Visa/WP: As this is a part-time position, we cannot provide a Non-B visa or work permit.

Working Hours:
- Part-time. Hours are dependent on student availability. The majority of our lessons take place in the evening and at weekends. Teachers must be able to work these times.
- The majority of our classes take place from 18:00-21:30 on weekdays and 10:00-
15:00 on the weekend.
- Teachers must be able to commit to teaching each student for a minimum of 30 hours.
- Teachers must commit to a minimum of two weekly sessions (1.5-2 hours).

Class Levels:
We offer a range of courses in both private and group settings, including:
- Business English (Conversation)
- Business English (Writing)
- General English
- IELTS Prep*
Our teachers cater the curriculum to the student’s personal goals for private classes.

Job Description:
- Select appropriate materials to help your students reach their goals
- For private classes, create a course outline to inform students of what to expect
- Deliver engaging, interactive lessons covering all four skills, with a focus on practical, real-life English use

Requirements

- At least a Bachelor of Education or related fields with an English major preferred
- A TEFL/TESOL certificate (120 hours minimum). CELTA preferred.
- Applicants applying for the role of IELTS tutor should have prior experience teaching - IELTS students.
- NES from a country whose primary language is English (Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Ireland, and South Africa) or have completed a substantial amount of your education in one of these countries.
- Clear speech with a universally understandable accent.
- At least three months of onsite teaching experience.
