From TEFL teacher to ELL Director

Postbox letter from Cliff

A large part of me wants to return to Thailand with my bright and shiny credentials. But, I just can’t bring myself to leave. My colleagues and work environment are too good, the pay and benefits are too good and the stability is too good.

Back to civilisation?

Have I really been away for two and a half years?

I need a little intermission from Asia, from being abroad, from the frustrations. It's time to remember why I moved away again, time to take a step back and get out of the bizarre madness that has become my life.

Losing the smiles

Postbox letter from Sean

Things in Thailand changed, I noticed it right away. People weren't as nice as before.

Impressions of home

Observations on a country and culture I'd almost forgotten

I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly, polite and nice the people were. Maybe this was because I was primarily in smaller towns and rural areas, but even while in the airports in Chicago and Denver, it just seemed so easy to strike up conversations with the people I were interacting with.
