Are the provinces the new Bangkok?

Postbox letter from Chris

From Bangkok to the boonies

Teaching in big cities v teaching in rural thailand

It wasn’t until I found myself in a quiet provincial town where the local 7-Eleven was the only air-conditioned hangout, that I realised teaching in Thailand could be an entirely different experience.

Living the rural life

Postbox letter from David

Rural Thailand isn’t for everyone. It’s quiet, yes. You’ll miss some creature comforts, and you might go a little stir-crazy now and then. But if you want to really live in Thailand - not just pass through it - this is where the magic happens.

Postbox letter from Tony

Is it worth moving out of Bangkok?

People often cite the lower cost of living, better quality of life and a more Thai-style existence as reasons to be based outside the capital.

I’ve done a little research and come up with some example salaries in different regions in Thailand. Whilst this isn’t an exact science it should give a good guide of potential earnings
