I love teaching in Thailand!

I love teaching in Thailand!

Maybe its because I've only been living in Thailand for a year, maybe it's because its been a dream of mine for 10 years, maybe it's because I'm just a positive person - but I love teaching in Thailand! I hear farang teachers talk about school politics, the Thai education system, the unfairness of being asked to do just a little bit extra which they won't get paid for. People said you can't save money and teach in Thailand - yes you can. People said you can't find work without a degree - yes you can. People said you can't teach in Chiang Mai because there are too many teachers - yes you can. You just have to want to work and be prepared to put in a bit of graft to find places.

I'm bored of hearing teachers bitch about this place. It's a very long way from being perfect but who wants perfect? I wish those teachers that have nothing better to do than run the place down to take your experience and teach in a country that you feel is deserving of your high moralistic ideals!
