Why bother?

I just completed one year teaching in a private school. I really enjoyed teaching the students, and in the last few months was starting to get all the students talking in English and felt was making great inroads. The school, however treated me like a slave. Often asked me to help with things on Saturdays for no pay. There was almost completely no communication from my supervisor. They would always say that they wanted to treat me like a Thai teacher. They were too lazy to arrange a work contract or renew my work permit. I could say a lot more, but I will not. Foreign teachers in Thailand, always check about the school and its treatment of foreign teachers before applying to work.
