Why I decided to start eating insects

I have a pretty healthy diet. I exercise a lot, I don't smoke or drink and I much prefer a good dinner to a piece of cheesecake or an ice cream, so giving up beef was purely to do with its environmental impact.

Eating healthy in Thailand

Is it becoming more and more difficult?

My long held belief that Thai food was generally very healthy has diminished fast. The diet of rice is generally healthy- the accoutrements of creamy sauces and fried meats are not.

A dream lifestyle in Thailand

Does Chiang Mai offer the perfect place to live and work? Well, live anyway

I'll put my hands up and admit I've been somewhat unkind to Chiang Mai in past blogs. On past visits, I've usually had the job of playing tour guide to my ageing parents and a couple of their friends. It's never easy to move a group of elderly folk around a sizeable Asian city without having every tout and unofficial tour operator descending on you from miles around
