Two very special students
The challenges of adapting your teaching for 'different' class members
Perhaps the most challenging bit of customization I've needed to perform as a teacher has been my recent experience teaching a couple of remarkable students. The first a young Burmese lady with cerebral palsy (CP) and the second, a young man with autism.
Odd, but not really.
Considering students with special needs
Our role isn't to cure Autism, Down syndrome, and the like, but to provide these odd individuals a chance to live and experience a life worth living for!
Handling students with learning difficulties
How can I ignore students just because they are different?
I remember in my first week at my government high school there was a student who was severely autistic. I just wasn't prepared for the task at hand.
